When people think about design work, they often picture social media graphics, logos and highly visible projects. But in reality, much of the work I do happens quietly behind the scenes.
Over the years, I’ve worked on a wide range of confidential projects across manufacturing, technology, heritage, charity, healthcare and community sectors. This includes proposal and funding documents, branding for new businesses, reports, technical manuals and communications supporting business proposals.
Not all design work is created for public promotion. Sometimes clients need discretion just as much as they need good design.
My role often involves helping organisations communicate complex information clearly, professionally and accessibly through thoughtful visual design and structured content.
For a long time, I felt frustrated that I couldn’t publicly showcase some of the projects I was most proud of, but I’ve come to realise that confidentiality reflects something important: trust.
Some of the most valuable creative work never makes it onto social media, and that’s perfectly okay.
